Kristin & David wanted to do something fun and different for their ceremony and reception. By putting an “Old Hollywood” theme spin on it. And what a better place to do it, than at the Historical Santa Maria Inn. They as well as their guest, kept to the theme, by wearing flapper dresses and tuxedos with tails. Krissy with Krissy’s Kreations coordinated the event and help bring their vision to life.
After a beautiful ceremony in the garden area, Kacie & Patrick with SLO Town Studios took Kristin & David away to take pictures, while their guest moved inside for cocktails. Where they had their own fun walking the red carpet and then getting a little goofy in Snap Cubby’s Photo Booth.
Once Lauren & Diana with the Santa Maria Inn put the finishing touches on the buffet table, Kristin & David were introduced into their reception and then danced to “I Don’t Dance” by Lee Brice for their first dance.
While the guest enjoyed their dinner, they listened to 50’s Big Band and Great Gatsby type music, that really set the mood. After dinner, we started their toast, which included four of their kids. Kristin has two young boys and David has a young daughter and son, all from past relationships. It was so sweet to hear these kids talk about their new mother and father. This day, they created a new family!
After the toasts, Kristin & David cut their beautiful cake, provided by Gina’s Piece of Cake. Now it was time to get this dance party started! This group of people were so much fun and had an awesome time. And what a huge variety of request songs. From old school to cumbia, from country to pop, they danced to it all!
The last song of the evening was “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life” by B. Hedley & J. Warnes….and of course there were those who tried to do the Patrick Swayze & Jennifer Grey lift. lol But what a joy it was, to watch Kristin & David dance slow with one another to this song and taking in the joy of their wonderful day.
Thanks Kristin & David for letting me be apart of your amazing day!
